Famous Argentinean director Juan José Campanella’s latest movie The Secret in their Eyes which is also known as El Secreto de Sus Ojos is a drama film that will be released in Argentina on the 13th of August, 2010 and in the US on the 13th of March, 2010 at the Miami Film Festival. The movie has gained a lot of popularity and increased interest from the crowd as it was nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film of the Year Academy Award for 2010.
The film tells the story of a criminal prosecutor whose name is Benjamin Esposito. He has retired from his job a few years ago. After retiring from his job there is one incident during his work life that still haunts him, it was a rape and murder case of a 25 year old and Benjamin wants to put his thoughts into a book and write a novel about the incident. To do this he turns for help from his previous colleagues and friends. He asks for help from Pablo who is now an alcoholic and Irene who is now the chief justice.
Playing the lead characters roles in the movie are Ricardo Darín who plays the role of Benjamín Esposito, Soledad Villamil who plays the role of the beautiful Irene Menéndez Hastings and Guillermo Francella who plays the role of the drunk Pablo Sandoval.
Some of the other major stars in the film are Javier Godino playing the role of Isidoro Gómez and Pablo Rago playing the role of Ricardo Morales.
